What is Acceptance 365?

The Acceptance 365 Initiative 

Targets not only the community, but specifically local businesses and area employers.  It provides resources to the existing employees, but also focuses on diversity and inclusion in the workforce.  While promoting this anti-stigma initiative in the community information related to Individualized Placement Supports and Supported Employment are also provided.

Vision

All Venango County residents live in a community that provides opportunities and promotes growth, health and happiness. Communities in Venango County reduce stigma, promote wellness and foster change through knowledge, education and inclusion. 

Our Pledge

As a member of Acceptance 365, we adhere to a series of methods and practices which help to minimize all forms of stigma, exclusion, and social bias by instilling hope, providing knowledge, and promoting self-advocacy in our community. We aim to promote mental wellness, positive messages and create an accepting environment for all.

Acceptance 365 members will:

  1. Support minimizing stigma by welcoming all who enter our doors
  2. Train all staff in diversity and inclusion
  3. Advocate for, as well as empower others, to advocate for themselves
  4. Celebrate uniqueness
  5. Be an ally for the community
  6. Participate in Acceptance 365 events

Six Stigma Trainings

Research Scholar/ Center Manager

Montana State University

Dr. Kari Finley is a Senior Research Scientist for the Center for Health and Safety Culture. Dr. Finley holds a Ph.D. in Human Services from Walden University and a master’s degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Colorado State University. At the Center, Dr. Finley’s key roles include research, scientific writing, and tool development, and she is a principal investigator for multiple projects.  

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Dr. Finley’s previous clinical experience in the mental health and addiction fields brings expertise in behavior change to research projects that seek to make a difference at the national, state, and community level on issues including substance misuse, child maltreatment, and traffic safety. She is a contributing author in the book: Traffic Safety Culture: Theory, Foundation, and Application, and is a published author in multiple academic journals
