Mountain Biking

There is an extensive system of mountain bike trails at Two Mile Run County Park. This has been a secret gem to many locals for decades, though with our revival of the mountain bike races, more are enjoying the adventure in Northwest Pennsylvania. We hope you enjoy riding and will join with us in preserving this resource.

Obstacles

You will find both double tracks and single tracks. The tracks include many natural obstacles including:

  • Bridges
  • Logs
  • Creek Crossings
  • Rocks
  • Roots
  1. 1
  2. 2

Terrain

The rolling terrain provides a natural challenge for all levels of riders. Though when in doubt, dismount your bike and walk.

Track Markers

About 12 miles of single-track are marked with yellow trail markers and mapped for you to follow (available at the park office). There are also over 20 miles of marked red trails and connector trails for all multi-users. There are no paved bike paths in the system.

Track Maintenance

Area cyclists along with the trail committee have maintained this system to create a vast, unique riding area.  Please leave all trail maintenance up to the trail committee. If you come across an area that needs attention, please report it to the park office at 814-676-6116. If you would like to volunteer, leave your contact information.

Mountain Bike Race

An annual event with a full course that is approximately 8 miles of rolling hillside per lap, still with a Le Mans start. Many volunteers and a handy water station make this a prime event.

Register for the Race

Check out the Registration Forms page to register for this event.

Suggested Parking

There is a parking lot off Masterson Road, opposite the campground, that may be used.

Rules & Recommendations

No bikes are allowed on the cross-country running trails. Bikers must yield and communicate to all other trail users. Always wear a helmet, ride safe, bring water, and protect our environment.
